These scholarships are awarded to Latino and underrepresented minority students studying in the bay area region. General Motors Minority Dealers Association Scholarship Program Deadline: TBA Amount: $2,500 Description: GM Minority Dealers Association Scholarship Program offers a limited number of $2,500 scholarships to current minority college students, and to high school seniors who will be enrolled in an accredited 2 or 4 year college or university in the United States. The applicant must demonstrate both academic excellence as well as outstanding community service through activities, volunteerism, and work experience. Genentech Scholars Program Deadline: TBA Amount: $5,000 Description: The Genentech Scholars Program seeks to provide an inroad for diverse students to gain access to the biotech industry. The program awards financial assistance and an internship at Genentech, with the possibility of job placement after graduation. |
